Built Work for the Jardin de Métis with Nuala O’Donnell and Max Schnutgen

As part of the 19th edition's theme of Playscapes, the design-build installation offers an interpretation of the merry-go-round. It contributes to a circular economy by upcycling discarded pieces of stone from the greater area of Québec to form the terrazzo base. When in use, the depth of the forest is blurred allowing for an interaction with its immediate surrounding trees and shrubs. A tension resides between static and interactive, recognizable and singular, intimate and vast.
