Lieux Saints Partagés: Coexistences en Europe et en Méditerranée

Paris, 2017

Exhibition with Kuehn Malvezzi at the National Museum of History of Immigration in Paris. Curated by Dionigi Albera and Manoël Pénicaud

A synagogue, a church and a mosque are to be built under one roof. The structure halts everyday life in both form and material. The House of One is a structural brick building, which presents itself as an entity devoid from religious symbolism in the urban space. Its potential lies in the simultaneity of intimacy and foreignness, the similarities and differences between the three Abrahamic religions. The internal organisation of the building frees itself from the overall form. It resembles a city within the city. The model of the sectional space is found within the exhibition to invite visitors in engaging with the scale of the project.
